It’s the biggest single factor in gaming performance. We’ll show you where the value sits in the current GeForce and Radeon ranges instead of defaulting to the most expensive card.

DDR5 on current platforms

Current Intel and AMD platforms benefit from DDR5, and Ryzen 7000 and 9000 only support it. Speed and capacity are matched to the processor and your workload.

Mid-range 1440p

High to ultra settings at QHD — the sweet spot for most players, without paying for flagship parts.

High-end 4K and high refresh

The cost of a custom gaming PC depends on the parts you choose. You receive a complete list with every component priced individually and a separate labour figure before anything is ordered, giving you full visibility of the cost and the freedom to tweak the specification before you commit.

The labour charge includes putting the PC together, routing the cables, applying thermal compound, load testing, setting up Windows and drivers, and walking you through the finished machine. Custom build or pre-built — not a pop-up job

Pre-built gaming PCs have improved, but mass-market machines are still specified around margins. Coolers are often undersized, power supplies are rated at the bare minimum and proprietary cases or boards can make upgrades difficult or expensive.

A custom build from our stores works the other way round. You decide on the parts with our advice, cooling and power are sized for the real workload, every component is a standard part you can upgrade later, and the finished PC is stress-tested before it leaves the store — not boxed and shipped on trust.

How do I start a custom gaming PC build?

How long does a gaming PC build take?
Once you’ve signed off the parts list and the components are in, a typical build takes three to five working days. Stock on individual components can change that, so the consultation ends with an honest timescale.

Can you build with parts I already own?
Yes. Bring your graphics card, drives, case or other parts and we’ll design the rest of the system around them, checking compatibility and flagging anything that would hold the build back.

Do you build with both Nvidia and AMD graphics cards?
We do — GeForce RTX 50 and 40 series and Radeon RX 9000 and 7000 series. We recommend whichever suits your resolution, refresh rate and budget rather than favouring one brand.

Should I choose an Intel or AMD processor?
Both are excellent, and the best choice depends on what you play and what else the PC needs to do. We build on Intel Core Ultra 200 and AMD Ryzen 5000, 7000 and 9000 platforms, including X3D chips, and explain the real trade-offs before you decide.

Can one PC handle gaming, streaming and editing?
Yes, if it’s specified for it. A processor with more cores, extra RAM and fast NVMe storage lets a single machine game, stream and edit video comfortably — tell us how you’ll use it and we’ll plan for it.

Is the consultation really free?
Completely. There’s no charge and no obligation to go ahead — the aim is for you to leave knowing exactly what you’d get and what it would cost.

What warranty does a custom gaming PC come with?
We guarantee the build for a year; separately, each part retains whatever warranty its manufacturer offers. Your quote lists the cover for each part. Terms: repair warranty.

What if something goes wrong after I collect my PC?
Return it to the store where it was built. If the fault is down to our assembly, it’s covered by the build warranty, and we’ll help you claim on a component’s manufacturer warranty if a part fails.
